Marta Valls has a Fine Arts degree from Barcelona University (1988), specialising in Photography. Marta lived and worked in England from 1988-1990, where started her artist professional career. In 1990 was invited by the Fondazione Italiana per la fotografia  (Photography Italian foundation) to take part to the Biennale di Fotografia (Photography biennal) with a personal exhibition, since then, Marta has lived and worked in Turin. She is also an Art teacher in the secondary school.

Her works are in private and public collections such as : Comune di Anzio, Fondazione Camis de Fonseca, Ayuntamiento de Almansa.

Marta Valls usually works with mixed media using essentially photography , plus watercolours, wood, iron, paper. She plays with lights and transparencies that reveal an idea, conveying the internal and external worlds, between men soul and environment.

She places us in front of a mind mirror, opening the world to the “possibility” she doesn't stop at Beauty  but breaks, overlays, deforms with intelligence to convey deep ideas and emotions.
